  • couple q's on seafoam...

I read the sticky about seafoam, and after a about 2.5 hours of semi-distracted reading, i read every single post on that tutorial post.

i still have a couple questions though..

I have a minor oil leak as it is, so i figured i probably wouldn't do the seafoam in the oil, since i figure it would just make the leak worse, and i don't feel like fixing it :) ... you think that's about right?

I was reading it, and i know it was on a ls1 forum, so they have to use premium, but the way he mentioned it, i just want to be sure...you just fill it up like you normally do right..?

are there any other recommendations anyone has for doing it on my 118K 96 3.8?

fill up and pour a whole can in. i did this when i did all three and car is a lil quicker now. dont do alot at one time in the vacumn hose part, its the one coming off the circular thing by the brake master cylinder and you will need a small tip funnel as well. pour in a lil at a time till it dies then let it sit for 10 min and cover the neighborhood in smoke!!!

Yes fill up normally, as for the oil, I am far from an expert but I would not put it in the oil if you have a leak. As far as av6....'s post, "circular thing" is a brake booster. I normally disconnect that hose and use the suction off the hose to capture the seafoam. I have heard numerous times to never kill the engine with the stuff. It will rev higher for awhile just suck about 1/3 of the pint in the car and turn it off and let it sit for awhile and then have fun.
