Air condition

my AC when its on it starts out cold then goes warm and stop blowing for 1 to 4 mins and also the air blows out a different speeds. Like if i have switch on high or any position it changes the speed it blows out of the vents. I think its the blower motor going out but brother thinks its just low on freon. I also can hear the compressor turning off and on every 2-3 minutes. any ideas and is it true changing the blower moter is a pain in the a**.

It sounds like both; Low freon and a blower motor going bad. The blower shouldn't change speeds once it's set, and the compressor usually (normally) cut's on & off when the freon is low.

It sounds like it is iceing up to me. When the evap coil starts makeing ice it also slowly starts cutting off the air flow. Once it starts making ice it ices up even faster cause the air flow is coming to a stop. When this happens does the accumlater and suction line turn to ice? If this is the case it could be one of 3 things, contaminated freon, too much freon, and or a bad pressure controler.
