Ok i have a few questions about my car. 1)When i hit the brakes or push the window buttons my headlights flicker and the volt gage drops for a second. Also when i pull into a parking spot or my driveway the gage drops alot when i straighten the wheels out and all my lights dim for a second. 2)Whenever the car is running (whether in gear or not) there is a quiet really high pitched noise that gets higher as the rpm's get higher. Any idea why this stuff happens??

#1 maybe faulty wiring to brake lights?
second one I have no idea...the power steering and the headlights are preatty much totally unrelated to each other. I dont see why it would affect your lights.
#3.....belt?
EDIT: I see you did the free ram air mod...if you took out the air silencer the high pitched whistling could be caused by that.3.8L Dk Blue 1998 Camaro

Soon to have 80\'s in the back

Flickering lights and jumping volt gauges are common problems with our cars. Mine has done it since it was new... especially in winter when more electrical things are running at the same time. I had the alternator replaced under warranty and it made no difference. Some people think we need either a higher-capacity alternator or better power cables. Your alternator may not be going out, but it's not very good either. If you search around some there are other posts about this subject. I'm just going to live with it until it goes out, then get a higher capacity one and better cables.2002 Silver Firebird A4
T-Tops, Leather, Y87, W68, Chrome Wheels
Bone Stock

with the car running, pop your head under the hood and check to see if you can hear where the wistling is coming from .. if not, than pull off your belt and run it for a second and see if it goes away, if it doesn't than it's your intake, but if it does than probably a pully bearing for your alternator, power steering or a/c. Try to narrow it down, but probably your alternator.\'97 Firebird 3.8 ... 1/4 mile = 12.50 (minutes)
