is there even a TPS in the 2000-02's? as far as i know they're all drive by wire. the pedal is just hooked up to a resistor and theres a motor that moves the throttle plate. why would you need a tps? the computer already knows where the throttle is at. i could be TOTALLY wrong tho... just figurin'...

The reason I was asking, is because I think that I am also going to have to buy a new TB soon for my 99 Camaro, because I am getting a code P1518 and it only cranks when it wants to. This code is listed as a communication problem from the TAC to the PCM. I have been able to crank it and drive it at times, but for the most part, it is broke down. I hate this electronic crap, personally, but that is the price you have to pay for a newer car. I guess I am going to wimp out this week, and try to get it to a mechanic to double check the problem to make sure that it is what I think it is.
If anyone has any words of wisdom on this, I would be very interested.
