  • crazy high pitched whine

    hey guys, at idle my g/fs 01 camaro has a super high pitched whine coming from an unknown location. not sure if its under the hood or what, seems like evertime i go to check it it won't do it..it does it mostly when its hot and its not the Alt. or the PS, it is really high pitched. Also been having problems with a cold start it idles rough not super rought anymore but enought to notice it

    How do you know its not the alternator?

      cause i have heard alt whine on many cars and its not anywhere close to it

          Fuel pump maybe?? Mine whines really high pitch at times.

            if you think it is in the engine bay take a big screw driver, and touch things with it and put your ear to the other end, you should be able to narrow the location of it a bit better that way

              just don't touch any electrical connections I did that when i was messing with my alternator, it was a huge spark :tup:

                where did it hit you? did it feel good?
