whats the proper way to adjust my high and low beams. I know you should be on a level surface and facing a wall, but how far should i be from the wall, and how high should the low beam be, how high should be high beam be? thanks

    Re: Headlight adjustments.

What I normally do is park about 40 ft from a wall and adjust my lowbeams right at the bottom corner where the ground meets the wall, then try to adjust them where the beams are about 2 ft apart from each-other. I usually have to get in and out of the car quite a few times to physically see the results and I get it where I like it.

I adjust the high beams the same distance from the wall, but I go about 2 ft higher than the low beams.

A shopping mart is normally good for a large wall, plenty of room and this adjustment...late at night when they are closed.

GM says 25ft. I would just get out on a road far from anyone so no one drives up and adjust that way
