not sure if this is standard or some sort of cut off, but when I engage my rear defroster, it only stays on a very short time. I didn't know if my thermostat in it is going bad or if it has some sort of safety cutoff. Sometimes in snow or such it cuts off before the job is done?

it has a cutoff, i believe at a certain temp. if you just turn it on again, itll go back on, but not for as long.
