I have this squeaking noise from the passenger side. It sounds like it's coming from the dash/door jam area. I took the door panel off and nothing was making noise inside the door. It only makes noise over 40 mph and sounds like a piece of metal tapping quickly against a piece of plastic.
Anyone have any IDEAS?
Just checked, the seatbelt is nowhere near the door. The sound might be coming from the dash, but I don't know how to remove the compartment to look in.
heh, as all of these companies claim that subframe connectors will fix this problem. Put them on and they will take care of your dash rattles.
I would have thought of the seatbelt also...But maybe you have a penny or some other coin sitting down in the little compartment on the door that holds random stuff..I.E. Maps, Tissue...
True story... I know this lady who bought a brand new Cadillac and everytime she would take a turn there was a "clunk" sound coming from the car. The dealer (under warranty) replaced the entire front end (tie rods, suspension, etc.) and the clunk was still there. She brought the car in to our shop to see if we could find the problem. After confirming that her tie rods were tight and the struts weren't defective, we isolated the noise and took the fender off the car. Inside the fender was an empty can of Coke with the note "How long did it take you to find this?". Apparently someone on the assembly line had a little too much free time on their hands.
