Stats: 2002 Firebird 3.8L V6. Stock electrical.
Ok, My stock battery decided to die this weekend. Here's the problem. Part of the positive battery terminal(side post) on the battery itself completely corroded off of the battery. The part that separated is completely fused to the battery wire side terminal. I can't separate them to save my life.
I would like to replace either:
a) The entire positive wiring assembly(bat-alt, bat-starter, bat-aux).
b) Cut and crimp in new connectors for the three wires
If I choose (a), does anyone have a part number for the wiring? It is a three wire assembly that connects the battery to the alternator, the starter, and the aux post on the driver's side fuse box. The only thing that pulls up at autozone is a one wire(with a small aux wire) setup that isn't even close to what I've got.
If I choose (b), does anyone know the awg of the three wires so I can use the correct ring terminals? I think the bat-starter is 4awg, but I don't know the other two.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
