Dang, I might get one. Just so I can do my own diagnostics. It also helps that it tells you your speed, RMPs, MPG, IAT, Throttle position, etc etc. It shows you how much longer you can go befor you run out of gas, which is kewl (I know, the gass gauge does that too, but this does it in distance, time, and gallons!) And just being able to stick it in my trunk, and pull it out whenever the SES comes on is what I like. But, can't you do the same thing with a HyperTech? Ya it costs about 2x the money, but with it you can also adjust your timing, a/f mixture, spedometer, and all that along with about everything the one on eBay does. I'd save up for a Hypertech man, but if you just want one for diagnostics, then go ahead and get that one.

but this is made to be left pluged in and mounted inside the car,,, hyper tech does not mount and is way to big.

I have this ScanGauge II in my Camaro for a month and it's great!
        I love it....

You can see many values on the fly and if you see the SES you can read the code....
The best feature is the trip computer - you can see your fuel consumption in real time... and your range with the current tank...
You can switch all values to metric for Canadian or European use.

        greetings from Germany

PS: sorry for my english... if you found any mistakes, let me know....I'm learning
