I got home from work went to hit the button to lock my doors and nothing. So I thought maybe the battery wasted on the remote so I got the spare and it still didnt work. So is it worth it getting it fixed or should I upgrade. And if I do go with the factory alarm how do I go about fixing it? Thanks in advance.

    Re: Factory Alarm dead

this happens to me sometimes too. sometimes i have to reprogram the remote.

take the radio fuse out, put the key in the ignition and turn it like 3 times on and off, (with the doors shut){the doors will lock and then unlock to notify it's in programming mode} then hold the lock and unlock buttons on the remote for like 30 seconds. The car will lock and unlock telling you it's programmed.
    put the fuse back in.

See if that doesn't work. i know it worked for me.
