    Re: Frame?

Well, I've seen 4 roof configurations on the 4th gen F-bodies.
    1) conventional
    2) sunroof
    3) t-tops
    4) convertable.

    I haven't seen a targa top yet.

I know that there are no structural differences with the first 3, but am unsure of the convertable but suspect there is(are).

Are sunroof's a factory option? I've never seen a 4th gen with one and did a google and didn't see one there either? Just curious

No, not from the factory. Was an aftermarket.

            Re: Frame?

One fine afternoon I was behind a guy in a convertible TA and the top was down. I had never actually seen body flex before, but when he went over a few bumps, right away I could tell. That thing was twisting like you wouldn't believe. I now understand why convertibles need subframe connectors.

              That I'd like to see.

I wish I had a change to see the sunroof install a bit closer to see how the headliner was modified.

how ever they did it, that car is ****ed unless they did some serious modifications. to put in a sun roof conventionally, you would have the remove the core support that goes down the middle. Some people are just dumb as dog ****.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I bet that baby creaks and groans!

Was it only SLP that was doing the T-Top and Convertible installations for GM, or were other companies involved?

the cars came with t-tops and convertible factory, not SLP.
