I have worked a deal with HPSalvage on a LS1 Engine and tranny with all the needed parts ex. crossmember and computer blah blah blah. I got a good deal on it but am wondering how it wears on a pre 98 F-body. I was wondering if anyone in here has done the conversion and if so could they E-mail me so I can ask a few questions. I am trying to contact whoever did the conversion on their 95 trans-am on HPSalvages site but they could not give me any info on him/her. Any help would be appreciated thanks. P.S. I will be FULLY documenting the project as much as I can but I am not starting it till march as I am in Minot AFB, ND and well winters here are like the jack frost cartoon.

There is a guy in my local F-body club who has put an LS1 in his '94 Z28. The engine fits with little modification contrary to popular belief. And no the engine does not sit to tall for the early fourth-gen front end......some people will try to tell you that BS.
It will require slightly more modification to slip into a V6 car but shouldn't be much harder. I have a link to a website that sells all the conversion parts for the swap. There sponsor vehicle is a black '95 3.4L Camaro and they have installed an LS1 and have custom fabricated 32v Cadillac Northstar heads onto it!
If I can find it, I'll post it for ya.1997 Camaro,
SLP cold-air, Hooker Supercompetition catback, Air temp. module, Powerstat thermo, 1LE Aluminum drive shaft, 3.42 POSI rear, 1LE sway bars front & rear, Powerstop crossdrilled rotors on all corners, Torque Thrust II\'s (17x9.5 front & 17x11 rear), and a couple other goodies. http://www.villagephotos.com/pubbrowse.asp?selected=84487

You might want to talk with Scott at www.speedautomotive.com . They sell the parts also, and have done these conversions.
