  • Installed new steering column, now car won't start!!!

Ok I had a break in and things were broken and stolen which prompted me to install a new steering column,. I purchased a used steering colum with igniton and key out of a 96 camaro thinking I would be okay using the same year as mine, I hooked up the column and wires etc.

But my car won't start I sure it's the vats system because the colum came with some kind of control/module/?? box that I can't find a place to plug up anywhere. So does anyone know where this box is supposed to go??

Also if I decide to just bypass the vats system do I use the resistor value off my old key or from the new Key??

I suppose that bypassing the vats system is the only way then correct??

Well I've been to radio shack twice with no luck the resistance that I keep reading is 1.475 * 2K ohms which would be 2950 ohms restiance I've tried both the 2.2k and the 3.3k with no luck please somone explain to me what I am doing wrong.
