• Camaro SS or Trans Am ws6

Alright i just got some of my settlement money and im looking to sell my 96 Camaro RS & get a new car. My question is i know this is just personal opinion but if you guys had the choice would you get a newer Camaro SS or a trans am ws6? I've loved all my camaros but theres just something that intrigues me about the front end on the 98+ Trans Ams & Birds. Either way im upgrading to a v8 because this 6 banger just isn't doing it for me anymore and its hitting 110,000 miles.

if i had "settlement money" and wanted an LS1, it would be a 1-2 year old vette. otherwise it would be a 97 trans am and spend the money on a full forged rebuild, AFR heads and a www.ProTurboKit.com setup. if I had to choose one, it would be a NBM TA with the ram air hood.

C5 Targa top Vette, but wait until the C6's come out, prices will fall, get a 2001 for a 'good' deal when that happens

otherly, SS or WS6, u'd be happy with either (i'd personally go WS6, though)

unless you do lots of interior, exterior mods to the ss, i gotta go with the ws6.. question.. is the ss technically faster than a ws6? for i thought ss's and firehawks were equivalent? thx

The WS6 is supposed to run 2tenths faster then the SS....and u cant compare a firehawk to either of the two becuz u get them built how you want them its a custom factory order unlike the SS and WS6 where there all built the same

yeah this is a tuff one.... i went and looked at a 2000 c5 today and fell in love. If i was gonna steer clear of GM though i think i'd get a Bmw M3...i test drove a 99 earlier today and that thing was pretty mean.

I really love the Navy Blue Metallic SS's. WS6s are a bit more I think, hold their value a bit more too, so it should be more expensive.

Hard to say, I think I actually would go with the SS only cause my brother already has a Trans Am.

all ls1's are about the same speed, so no "ws6 is 2 tenths faster/slower, ect.

there is more in driver error, and engine tollerance to make a decision based on speed alone.

A base Z28 $22,000 or a $37,000 firehawk vert all have about the same power.

Agreed on the E46 M3's those are nice rides if money was no object, i probaly would have one over my ws6, if money was really no object, i would own both ;)
