I don't think so. I don't have a 3.4, so I'm not entirely sure, but I don't think it would. They run like low 16's stock don't they?

4.10 gears, LSD, tune, 4000 stall, cam, ~500lbs weight reduction, intake, headers, cut-out, drag radials, shift kit and it should hit 14's.

          yes and no...

they should be able to but they don't.

I ran 15.4, when I had my 3.4L, was the n/a record for awhile.

I had 3.42s, street tires, steel driveshaft, intake, ghetto exhaust.

Seems like better gears, heads, cam, woudl go better.

But the biggest obstacle 3.4Ls are faced with, is there is no tuning readily availible, there are a few off the wall, no one can find or get it done places but people still claim they will do it.

i mean.. V6 Fbody performance parts are over with. a lot of companies are going to stop making parts for them, especially after production for these vehicles has stopped.

thing is people have been claiming that for years, only one car has run faster then 15.4 in like 4-5 years.

I mean a man could be diagnosed with cancer and cured of it in that amount of time ;)

Read shenanigans post. I mean DAS BOOTs :sketchy:

I doubt you would need 500 lbs. of weight reduction. With the right suspension, H/C setup, and tuning (Biggest factor) 14s would be a reality. If i had the money and the car still i could of tried, but i don't and i moved on to an easier platform

with the 3400 top end swap and all, you can make 14s. Just would need a megasquirt system to tune it and all.

^^ Good point about megasquirt, but weight reduction is way cheaper. Megasquirt is about $4000. 500lbs isnt a hard number to get into the 14's, but it will definately get you into the 14's no sweat, especially if the motor is 11-12 years old, the extra weight reduction is a good buffer to ensure 14's. I imagine with decent driving and 200 lbs you could get 14's, but not as consistantly.
