I was wondering if i want to do an engine swap can i put ANY engine in my 1992 firebird or does it have to be one made by pontiac, because one of my friends knows a guy that has a 350 in good condition and my friend can get it for free and then my friend will sell it to me for 25-50 dollars(i know it seems cheap but hey ,if it doesnt work its only 25-50 bucks not important if its wasted money) and i was wondering if it would most likely fit in my car or if i have to buy a certain make/model/brand of an engine to swap into my car

sure you can put what ever you wnat in but it will take some custom work and as soon as you add the word "custom" to a project you need to add the words "more money".
