  • Is this too good of a deal?

I found this lsd on ebay for $80. Has anyone ordered from this company? Also, what other parts are needed if I bought this lsd?

That can't be right. 88-02? I'm pretty sure that the LSD unit has changed in the past 14 years.

That's TA Creations they are very knowledgeable.

Also notice it is for a SERIES 2? meaning 3.08 or numerically lower gears.

I have a stock 96 auto which comes with 3.08 gears. Is there anything else I need to purchase in order to install the lsd? I have heard things about reluctor rings, spacers, and bearing caps. If I don't need any of these, is it safe to assume that I can take them off the old diffy and put it on the new lsd?

yes, you will be able to swap this directly in. the reluctor rings are when you change gears as well. this should swap right in. remember though that you will be limited to your stock 3.08 gears, or if you do upgrade, you will need to look specifically for 2 series gears.

Would this be a great time to change the seals? My rear axle looks like this.....

Hello. I called the Autoway dealer to see how much it costs to swap out the bearings on the lsd that I bought. The guy said $250! I hung up right after he finished. What a rip off!
Do these differential bearings go bad that easily? I went to the Autozone website and the bearings were only 10.00 each=cheap insurance that I want.

                Also, what are races?
I searched and read about the bearings, but the races are still a mystery.
