ECT probs

I was driving around scanning with HP Tuners this morning.
My ECT was working FINE.
It wouldnt get over like........ 170*F EVER!
(I have a 160*F Thermo and I reprogrammed my fan settings of course)
Ocassionally the dummy "gage" ECT would drop to 0!!!
It did it at least 3 times
But HP T ALWAYS showed the correct ECT Temp!
Its just wierd.... where is the ECT Sensor? I'm sure I already know, its just 6:30AM and I am having a brain fart.

Come on!! Nobody knows where the ECT is???
If you dont tell me I will have to find out on my own, like usual :)
Its still doing this only worse. The ECT was completely off for my whole 80 mile trip today. I know my engine is cool though.

Sorry, never had to work on that and I don't have my manual to refer to.

I would guess that its either your cluster that is malfunctioning or something wrong with the circuit from or at the pcm to the cluster
