well, tonight i almost raced a mustang gt with propably a 100 shot of nos and an eclipse gst which he says was running 14-15 psi of turbo. but right after they left to get some gas my dad pulls up and says i was supposed to have the maro back an hour ago :eek: i know i would have lost, but i want to know what id need to at least beat the eclipse
p.s. the guys live a few houses down so its definitely going down sometime...and btw, it wasnt me who challenged them, it was my passenger, a 13 year old kid from britain :eek:
First off, what do you (or your dad) have in the way of a camero? Mods?
From a base stock 3.8, A4 without limited slip diff and tunning, my estimate is about $8,000.00, alot of work and tunning, AND PLAY IT OUT AT YOUR LOCAL TRACK! Forget the street racing thing, that's bad news for you and whoever you end up killing.

eclipse ull need some work...my buddy has 1 and i couldnt touch it when he was runnin 18psi...he ran a 12.9-13.2 with it runnin that high...and please spell the damn word right

If you wanna get fast and dont have a limit on spending, I would say turbo (or supercharge) it and add 50 or 75 shot wet nitrous. There really isnt a kit out for either the supercharger or the turbo so it'll all pretty much be custom if you decide to go down that road. Also be a good idea to get an exhaust system put on.
