so recienly my 2000 camaro has been hard starting...its not when you let it sit for long times its when you let it sit for just for like 10 minutes after u turn it off...i replaced the battery and put new plugs in there....my mechanic said it might be some seal in my fuel line that is shot...so it drips and causes somewhat of a flood but ya i dont understand it.. If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated otherwise im taking her to the shop

Good possibility that the fuel pressure regulator is bad. They are notoriously bad on GM products. Replaced mine last night and no more hard starting.

With the right tool to remove the snap ring, about 10 mins.

well how would you replace it without the right tool.....or do you need the tool in order to replace it?

When i did mine on my 97, i had to buy snap ring tool with the 90 degree bend on the end. Your going to have to use a mirror to see what your doing. Basicly you remove the snap ring, pull out the regulator, push in new regulator, reinstall new snap ring, and reconnect vacuum line.

Well thanks for all the details...but i think imma just have my mechanic replace it..its a ***** to get to anyways..i barely could get my hand in there i dont know how a tool would fit...thanks again tho

Yeah, i have big hands too and it was pretty tight. You know you could just remove the whole fuel rail, make it much easyer, and clean your injectors while your at it.
