    this is the 2nd coilpack tat is going on me. the #4 coil post is all discolored and looking rough as hell.. this same thing happened when i had the accel coilpacks...it's only the #4 post. what could be causing this

    Discolored and rough is bad? Mine keep turning the dielectric grease stuff black and they look pretty rough too. I took it all apart and soaked the ends in a water/baking soda mix as well as cleaned it with electric parts cleaner, seemed to help the kr at lower rpms for a while. Didn't help the top end though so I figured that it wasn't the problem.

      I had a pack go bad because the @%% that had the car before me was messing with it and did not get the bolt tight thus it vibrated and wore down and I was not getting a good ground. Just a thought.
