Wont Turn Over (HELP!)

Hey guys,
I probably sound like a moron, and sorry in advance for starting another SeaFoam thread, but i was seafoaming my car, and i hooked up a siphon to the brakebooster line cus i couldn't just poor it, and i started pumpin seafoam in while the car was on and it stalled pretty quickly. I waited like 10min and tried to start it... like 15 times... nothin. You can hear it start to turn for like a millisecond and then nothin. eventually my battery died. so i recharged it and went at it again, nothing.

What happened? How can i get it to start??

Ok i siphoned out some seafoam, still, nothing... help...

So does the engine not even turn over?
Try removing the plugs to see if it is full of seafoam.

You aren't supposed to just stick the booster line into the bottle....its supposed to be put in very slowly. You probably fouled up your plugs.

Yeah, sounds like fouled plugs. If there is a "next time", slowly pour the seafoam into the vacuum hose as the engine is running. If the hose is too short, then get an extension hose to pour through. Hopefully, you didn't f-up your O2 sensors too.

aweesommee... the only hose that would fit was my siphon, so i just pumped it in while the car was running

fouled plugs sounds like fun... o2 sensors even better. How much do new o2 sensors cost?

Oh and no, it wont turn over.

Worry about the O2 sensors later. Get a fresh set of plugs in there, and give it a shot. Yeah...plugs are fun, but we all paid our dues so now it's your turn... [img]tongue.gif[/img]

You can take them out and try cleaning them with a wire brush to get the carbon off, but you would be better off getting new plugs. Even a cheap set to hold you off for a few weeks or so. It sux, I just threw out 6 split-fire plugs for my 3.8 with less than 3k miles on'em. I would have sent them to you. Seems like everytime I throw something out, some else can use it. sorry.

Ah no problem, i screwed it up, i have to pay for it. I was under the car trying to get the spark plugs out, but as far as i can tell its impossible, unless there's some special tool, or maybe if i take off the exhaust manifolds. I was going at it from under the car, with a swivel extension on a socket wrench, and i just couldn't get it to fit.

I tryed jumping the car again today because my dad thought it was the battery. It started to turn over once, but that was it. Still no luck.

Is there anyone in the UCF area who's willing to give me a hand with this?

i would, its not too hard. driver side plugs you can get most off from above. none of the plugs are TOO hard except for the middle plug on the pass. side.

heres a real good tip. put the socket on the plugs first by hand, then connect your swivle or extention. dont try to put it all in there at once.

Thats what i've been doin. I only tried passenger side though.. just nothing seems to fit. I guess i'll work on it some more tomorrow...

This is what I did for the passenger side:
Get the spark plug socket with the hex end on it. Slide it over the spark plug with nothing else attached to it, and use a wrench to turn the hex end of the socket to remove the plug. Works great!
