    About six months ago when I lived in the bay my service engine light came on,took it to my mechanic ran throught the codes fixed it. A couple days later I move to chico one day service engine light comes on for a couple hours next morning it's gone. That was about 3 months ago. Have to get car smoged took it to a mechanic up hear for the first time(my neighbor said he was good) Now this mechanic said car cant be smoged because of my oxygen censor, it needs to be replaced for about $200 hundred dollars. anyone ever has this happen do them and what did you do.
    Advise please.

    Yes, you have to change the oxygen senser. I think the ones for my car costed about 80 dollars each if i remeber correctly. Find out which one its is, and replace it your self.
