ya man, i use bosch plats too. the ones with the 2 diodes, but i was told they dont do much more than the regular uno prong plugs.

Some advice, if your doing the plugs yourself make sure you got 3 swivles, a 6 inch extension, and a 3 inch extension. It was my first time but it took me 4 hours to do all my plugs. Much better price doin it myself compare to the shop asking 300$ for them to do it.!
High hopes for a quick 6

go with the bosch plat. If you got a murrays near you they were on sale for like a buck after rebate...i just changed mine out last week too me like an hr...the hardest part was gettin the wires off...just twist em a lil and YANK and ull get em...good luck...you really dont need a swivel..but im sure it wouldnt hurt...also get anti seize...it will be easier next time.....

Green what mechanic charges you 300 bucks....sounds like a rip off to me

              Bosche Plats, NGK's

whatever you do, don't buy the +2's, +3's or +4's. Waste of money and time.

I've tried bosch on a few times and have always felt like they ran worse than the old plugs..

i currently use Autolite #25... change them every other oil change and it runs like a champ...

Put a set of Bosch platinums in a 92 Bonneville SSEi and it ran like ***t! Changed them out for original spec Delcos, purred like a kitten.

This is why I use Delcos for my 99.

Where talking about a 3.8 here. I can change the plugs in a 3.8 in 15 min with a ratchet and a 4 in extension. I would go with a copper core plug. They have a hotter spark.

When I first got my car I asked some auto shop how much to change my plugs and they told me 250-300 because they were "such a pain"

Are you serious? 15 min start to finish? I need a 4in extension I guess. I have the craftsman 4 piece set, 1,3,6, and 9 in. I 'll try the 3 and 1 to make 4 in. I just can't see all 6 in 15 minutes. I guess you the man!!

Delco Iridium's (which I believe are NKJ, NJK, whatever).

Just an aside, they are used in helicopters, but I haven't figured out the relevance yet. Personally can't see the point in the other plugs without a boost in either the number of sparks or the size of the spark (hello aftermarket ignition systems). Everything really comes down to how pointy the anode and cathodes are on the plug, with the iridium's (or the platinum's for that matter, though remember that helicopters use iridium plugs, which is just cool) the anode is really small, which makes for a better spark. The dual or quad cathode thing is cool, but in my experience; when everyone is trying to get the girl, nobody does.
