make sure you bleed the cooling system, there is a little valve on the pipe where the thermostat is. You just open that up a little bit until coolant flows out.

make sure your heater core isnt stopped up. dont ever use stop leak in a radiator. unles you are stranded.

I 'd let it warm up a little so a little pressure builds, then just turn it a little bit to let the air out. When you see coolant coming out you're all set. Just don't do it when it's totally hot.... because you'd be overheating anyway, probably. And you'd have high pressure in there.

And yeah stop leak sucks, never use that stuff.

yea I had an air bubble in my lines when I replaced my thermo, it was overheating so I had to bleed the air out with that little screw

              Re: over heating

i let the engine warm up to at least the same temp of the thermo
              open the bleeder
              shut off car
let it let out all the air
              close
              fill radiator
              repeat
