• What do you use?

I wanted to adjust the headlights on my car and they had some weird screws in them. What are they? Does autozone carry the drivers or do I haft to get them from a gm dealer?

torx I believe, forget the exact size, mine are at home right now.

Oh yeah, you can get these pretty much anywhere.

Alright, I wand to advanced auto and the guy told me there were like 3 different typs of torx and that I would need to take it to a shop anyway to do a headlight adjustment so just don't bother. This guy is full of bs right? I'll do it myself, what type/size do I need?

Just that guy! Tell him you said TORX, not TORX PLUS or TORX SECURITY.

Torx (or standard Torx) looks like a six point star.
Torx Plus are also six point, but the tips of the stars are more square.
Torx Security has a pin in the center that has to match a hole in the tool.

Still don't remember the size off the top of my head. As for doing it yourself, my old '94 had bubble levels built in to the headlight frames that I used to adjust them. You just have to make sure your car is on a level surface.

You can see the difference between Torx and Torx Plus here.
