I need to replace my plugs and wires. So I was wondering if I should stick with the regular Platinum Bosch plug or change to a 2 prong plug or even a 4.
If you guys have any insight it would be appreciated.

the +2's and +4's are waste of money. It's a gimmick. they say a much hotter and more powerful spark. any single plat will do that. the extra tips are just for longevity. In my experience, the plat's burn hotter, which is bad because it can heat the combustion chamber too much and cause detonation, therefore KR to pull timing.
I myself run bosch copper plugs, stock temp range.
very good performance out of them
I'm using the regular plugs still and that's because they still work fine. I doubt any spark plug is going to give you a noticable difference, UNLESS you're spraying or something like that then I'd go with better plugs. If not, get the same ones again. It's not like it'll change your 1/4mi time or anything if you get better plugs. Just trying to save you some dough and stress on choosing the proper plugs.
I have used bosch platinums... +4, +2, and ACdelco rapidfires...
not a difference between them a friend told me copper is the best to run stock anyways so I might try a cheap set of copper plugs next... I need ot do wires soon anyways.
What ever the choice, make it a good decision, because the plug sould last 100K if things are close to stock. The changing of plugs and wire is a pain on the 3.8 engine. My hands are to big to do the job.

Nah, F-that.
I just did a search for replacing spark plugs and wires. And it seems like it would suck a lot to do it outside right now in central NY (26*). I'm going to spoil myself and have the shop do it for me.

yeah they are 6 bucks a piece but they are what our ignition system is meant to use..

Agreed...I had the dealer change mine at 60k miles and they looked almost new. I still have them, the dealer was hesitant to change them, called me and told me they didn't need to be changed, but I went ahead and had them do the plugs and wires. The wires were a recall and free and they did the plugs too.

i wouldn't necessarily go with what the builder puts in the car. i see a lot of dodges come in from texdot where i work, and they come stock with champion plugs, which are absolute crap. some times the builder just puts in whatever is cheaper to trim up costs and increase their profit.
that being said, i was running the stock plugs for about two years, then i got my hands on some ngk's. i like these a lot better, and coupled with some msd wires, you can feel a bit of a difference. not gonna throw you back in your seat, but you can feel it.
Last 100k? What's wrong with changing them every year? I've heard many full-throttle and spirited runs can fry plugs or cause misfires. Either way, I'll do the ol' dark out rev test to see if I need wires, and it looks like I'll go with copper instead of plat, from your advice.

Not much going on, replaced my Kenwood double din stereo with a Pioneer double din, the Kenwood had problems. Then replaced my power inverter for my reverse...
Hi all new to the community here. I have a 2014 RS 6 speed manual... and so about a year ago my tail lights got cracked and eventually the plastic housing...
