i was driving back home n when i went to the gas station my rpm was bouncing and my car died , my car kept dieing and dieing and when i tried to start it it struggled starting i had to keep the rpm above 1500 in order to keep the car on and when i go to a comeplete stop i battery guage went down and the rpm dropped to zero i have no idea where to start looking i got a 97 3.8 t-5 109350 miles

Hey man, need for info. was it running exetremely rough at all rpms?

check the vacuum line coming off the TB, i know that can cause those symptoms, i have experienced that personally

it only bounces the rpms when it at reg idle other than that it smooth like nothing is wrong ..... the vaccum line from the tb does that cost alot to fix ?

he said to check it, not to call autozone for a replacement.

yeah, just check to make sure its on there, and that elbow doesnt have a hole or anything, if there is a lack of resistance it will make the car bounce around like crazy and then die

do you hear your fuel pump turning on when you turn the key without trying to start the car?
