  • Video to change plugs?

Lately I have found that many people have been having trouble changing the plugs on our cars, especially those who have Pacesetters. I can change all 6 plugs from the top in about 45 mins. If I made a video of how I did it, would anyone be interested?

if you have pacesetters it is a walk in a park. I don't see anyone having trouble doing it with headers.

With stock manifolds it is tougher, no video can be made to do it, a person just has to do whatever it takes from whatever angle to get to them.

if you cant change spark plugs, you shouldn't pretend that you can work on a car.

I just know a lot of people have trouble with plugs #4 and #6. I have heard complaints about having to jack up the car and get them from underneath but thats not necessary and I want to show people that. And with Pacesetters, #4 is nearly completely blocked by the #2 primary, I just thought I'd show people my lil trick around it if they are interested.

ive personally never changed to spark plugs on my car. i dont have pasetters so it wouldnt do me much good.

there are some things ill do to my car, but if it looks like its gonna be a pain, i wont do it. doesnt mean i cant work on my car as someone previously stated. ive never changed my oil either. doesnt mean i cant do it though.

                  Re: Video to change plugs?

I think there are MANY people that would like all the help they can get with those plugs and are too embarassed to admit it (just look at the anonymous poll results!). On my four-banger fwd saturn, I can change all plugs in 10 minutes without getting dirty. With the right tools, it is just a tedious 45 minutes on the camaro. Much emphasis on "the right tools" because you don't want to be snapping spark plugs while getting them into and out of the block!

Hell, if you made one on getting rust welded rotors off the back of a camaro (without using a hammer - I rent and neighbors already think I'm weird for sneaking the nitrous bottle around), I'd donate a few bucks through paypal.

I have a 3.4 but I would love to see it. I think it would help alot of noobs because plugs are a pain on 4th gens no matter what motor you have.

                            i dont even have a 3.8 and i'd watch.

the 3.4 can all be done from the top. infact i couldnt even see any way to get at em from underneath. the passenger side is a ***** since theres the egr and ac stuff in the way. but if you have the right extensions and socket it shouldnt be terrible.

i just never know when ive got the things in tight enough.
