my engine is now pushing 137,000 miles and I am pretty hard on my car. should I stay with the castrol 10w30 like my car says or should I put some thicker oil in because it has so many miles on it? it wont hurt anything putting 10w40 in it will it?

If you've been using 10w30 since the beginning of time with the car then keep on using. Don't need to switch it won't do you any good. -
the only time you switch oil is when you will be making more heat or less heatComment
