Here are a list of the mods that will be done to my car over the next 2 years. 180 degree thermostat, Jet chip stage 2, aluminum driveshaft (from an ls1), Magnaflow highflow cat, Flowmaster 80 series muffler, Jet underdrive pulley kit, K&N drop in air filter or aftermarket Chrome intake(from ebay). These will go on my 94 3.4L Firebird. I plan on Dynoing my car once each year. My first time will be in February. See if you can predict the Horsepower #'s I will lay down on the dynojet dyno.

    Current Mods:
    180 degree Thermostat
    K&N drop in air filter
    Jet chip stage 2

    Future Mods:
    aluminum driveshaft (from an ls1)
    Flowmaster 80 series muffler
    Magnaflow highflow cat
    Jet underdrive pulley kit

              Re: Horsepower Predictions

Interesting predictions. I thought the 3.4's dyno'd between 130-135 bone stock and everyone is predicting that all of these mods will only give me about 15 to 20 more horsepower. I am predicting about 155 to 160 at the wheels and hoping for a little more.

i dont think it'll happen. mostly because those mods are going to give you very minimal gains. the best mod on that list IMO is the driveshaft. if it were me id look into getting the pcm done by pcmforless. it wont add much but its probably better than the jet chip.

a auto 3.4 should dyno in the 130's stock if its a A4. with your mods id expect no more than low 150s and that might be a stretch depending on the mileage on the motor.

i cant find any info about OBD-1 cars on pcmforless.com maybe i'm blind, but i see where it says to send cores, but doesnt give any info on what they do or prices for the 3.4

                      got a specific link?

in your future i see minimal horespower gains... maybe 150 at the wheels if you are real lucky... but your mpg and throttle response should be better. good luck
