i have a 96 auto 3.8 camaro. about once a month for the past 6 months (i just got the car 6 months ago) my car looses all power and can not be turned over. the radio, lights, windows, nothing works. if i let it sit for a while, anywhere from 30 min - 2 hrs, the car starts up again like nothing happens. the car has never lost power while on the road, only after i've driven it then parked it.
the mechanic installing my flows suggested that possibly my alarm system was malfunctioning cutting off all the power to my car. or maybe it some loose wire in the fuse box. has anyone had this problem or know how to fix this. i really dont want to take it to a mechanic and get ripped off.
