  • Can I still drive my Camaro with out a oil stick

    Hey everyone :wavey:

I was changing my oil last night and the whole oil stick assembly came out of the engine. Is the black stick that I'm talking about. The thing is that the black stick wasn't bolted down and it was really bent up really bad do to the header installation. Do I can't find were it goes to in block. My question is can I still drive my car with out the black oil stick and how fast could drive with out it?. Also were does it go to in the block?

    Thanks.

It shows where it goes into the block. Just look at the bootom of the picture and follow the dottet line...

Also, if you MUST drive the car, then block it off the where the hole is. If you don't, you'll lose oil at all speeds and run it dry...thus doing serious and/or fatal damage to the engine. I'd go to a dealer, ebay or j-yard ASAP to find a replacement though.
