I'm sure this has been asked a hundred times, but can I just buy the light bulb for the headlights in my 95 camaro? I have a headlight out, and when I went to Checker auto parts, they told me that you have to buy the entire assembly.. That can't be true, can it!?

Re: can i buy just light bulbs for the headlights??
The headlights on the 93-97 camaro's are Sealed. They do not have removeable bulbs.
..except>
If you do a headlight conversion. Then you can use the 9005 & 9006 bulbs.
Go here and scroll to the 5th post down. I explained how to do the conversion there.Last edited by hockeyman; 10-27-2006, 02:26 PM.sigpic

That stinks. It's great that you found a way to modify it.
Makes me glad I have a Firebird, good ole glass headlights. $9 each. :)

that is honestly the dumbest thing in the world not being able to change the headlights chevy ****ed up there what were they thinking
"hey bill i got an idea"
"whats that bob?"
"ok we are gonna make headlights that cant be changed, were gonna piss some people off"
but since the bulb is burnt out you have no other choice but to junk the car

Re: can i buy just light bulbs for the headlights??
well i know for a fact that my low beams are not 9006, they are actually something like 4351 i believe. whether or not the light assemblies themselves are original or not I have no idea. They say "Sylvania Halogen" on the lows and "Guide Halogen" on the highs. I can easily remove the low beam bulbs, but the high beams are sealed. I ordered a couple bulbs that were actually supposed to fit the original camaro headlights off ebay, but they obviously didnt.. does anybody know if i can find 4351's anywhere?? I haven't actually brought the bulb to the store and say, "gimme one of these," I just asked for an original headlight bulb. I think thats what im gonna do next, cuz i cant seem to find them anywhere online.

The 4351's plug is the same as the 9005 & 9006 plugs. Just pry/twist out the existing bulb in the sealed housing and install the new bulbs using a high temp silicone.
9005 = High Beam
9006 = Low beamsigpic

If you don't feel confident you can go to www.eurolights.com and buy one... thats what I did... 80 buck for the whole thing... both casings, and headlights.. this isn't bad since the really good bulbs at GI Joes are 80 for the pair themselves... good luck
