  • Heres the symptoms... Any Ideas?

Ok, this is going to be tough to explain, but if anyone has had the misfiring problem in their car, thats exactly what my car feels like it is doing. Things that need to be known: First off, I have a bad fuel pump, thats pumping way below pressure. Second, my transmission slams into gear, and slips out randomly when cruising along at 65 in O/D, and occasionally at lower speeds. Both of those problems have been progressivley getting worse. Third: I had that ignition problem before, with the flashing SES light, and replaced all my plugs and wires one year ago.

Now, my car is not flashing any dummy lights. I have no idea if my pump is spitting and sputtering causing my car to lose all power and jitter. Im assuming if it was a plug or wire problem again, it would give me a light. Or is it the transmission slipping like crazy? Happens ALL the time whenever under load or acceleration.
Any ideas what could be the culprit? Thanks.

If you replaced the plugs and wires a year ago, that shouldn't be the problem. Get that fuel pump replaced ASAP cuz that will cause some serious problems if you keep running it like that. Get the transmission looked at too. You may be looking at a rebuild there.

I am having a similar problem with my car. Do you have an aftermarket intake with reuseable filters that you oil. I have a SLP intake with the oil filters and i was reading that the oil can get sucked into the engine and cause problems to the transmission such as slipping, poor acceleration from a stop, MAF sensor, and more. If you don't an reuseable oiled air filters, i don't know what to tell ya. Try getting the transmission or fuel pump checked out.
