Figure this out. We all know that noises don't always come from where you think they are. I had two noises. One was from the exhaust hitting the cross member under the car. The other was braking at low speed, sounded like cheap pads.

Well, after my new exhaust install yesterday obviously the cross member noise went away.

But, the braking noise also went away. I have been turning wrenches for over 20 years and I have never seen this happen. The exhaust somehow was related to this noise.

Anyway, all noises / rattles / vibrations are now gone.

are the brakes new... maybe they happened to wear in around the same time.

No, they are not. They were on the car when I bought it 2 months ago. It was definitely realted to the exhaust job yesterday. I am just not sure how yet.

well, we know that brakes vibrate normally all the time and that brake sqeeks are simply a certain vibration that make the noise we hear. my guess is, that the vibration your exhaust caused by touching the vehicle, was transmitted through the vehicle, into your brakes and it just so happened the vibrations came together and caused the noise. **** happens you know
