  • tips on removing stuck bulbs?

So i know its a dumb question, but my tail light bulbs are a b***h to take out. I had to replace one and i had to pry it out, i did that at the expense of gouging the housing pretty bad. New bulb went in fine but i'd rather not go through another half hour trying to take off one bulb while messing up the housing in the process. Have they just melted on pretty bad? what can i do to remove the rest of the bulbs more easily? since i want to replace all of them now that one side is brighter.. any tips are appreciated and my apologies again for asking about such a simple problem

No help in getting them off (I had to order new fog light housings and sockets they were melted so badly), but unlike GM remember to use some bulb grease when you put in the new lights. It'll help next time you need to change, and might even act a bit like a heat sink compound to spread the heat out a bit and prevent future problems.

      get a pair of these:

Use them religiously. You should have no problem getting the bulbs out of the housings.

Ive had to use a pair of wire cutters to crush them then pull them out by the filament. Only bad part is glass gets everywhere.

lol skorpian, i thought for a second that those were some contraptions that take out bulbs--realized they're those things that work out your hands--lol

I'm sure you could use the to take the bulbs out. It's not going to be really effective, but you could use them.
