need help solving this problem, when i start my 95 bird (v6 3.4) i can see a large cloud of exhaust and a strong smell of gas and fumes, this has just started in the past 3 days, anyone know whats going on, and how to fix it?

possible bad spark plug, valve seal, head gasket....something along those lines.
how does the car drive?
is the smoke only upon start up?
any SES lights? -

yes the SES light is on, it drive perfect, just at start up it has this problem.Comment

have the ses light read. I don't think it would be the cat cause to me, that something that would be persistant problem. Not just at start up.Comment

have the evap canister checked.

lol when me and my buddy first did the cam and head swap we didnt know what the evap was. So we labeled it black thing by fuel rail.Originally posted by vanbibberComment
