  • i need your guys input.

    ok so i bought a used engine with 50000 miles on it what should i check and replace in the engine before i put it in the car... i really want my car to last along time....so any little thing helps... what do u guys think i should get?

    if its another 3800 it should already last a long time, I cant think of anything short of having to dear down the block you NEED to replace. I would change ALL gaskets, flush the tranny and diff. and call it a day

      i'd get some L67 internals and get one of them hairdryers everyone's talking about ;)

        just replace the gaskets, intake manifolds, oil pan, tb, valve covers, and also the rear main seal while it is out since that is a common thing to leak in our cars. Also clean out the tb while it is off and get all that carbon buildup off it

          L67 internals would do you no good, infact you would lose power with them unless turbo'd

              Check out your local AutoZone, Advance, etc. Then look online, usually gaskets are a common price.
