I have a haynes manual with lots of wiring diagrams. Maybe it is in there somewhere. I will do some under-dash surgery on saturday and take pictures. We should make a mod review for this and settle it once and for all.
yep, i'll get to it saturday. we'll se what we can do :D

I just looked in the haynes manual. It says it is a 2 wire connector, just like John D said.
The wire colors are:
-light green/black
-yellow/black

what does the sensor look like? I imagine it is a little round glass thing, like a cd player eye.
Do we have to remove the whole dash, or just a little piece of it?

Just the top of the dash....its one big piece of plastic. Its just a photoelectric eye that connects the wires when it light out. You will see it easily in the top vent when you take it out. Just be careful not to break the dash.

the wire is a fat red one right behind the headlight switch...you should be able to see it if you take off the ac vent by the window on that side...snip that wire...and your headlights will work fine...but you wont have the auto headlights anymore

that sounds way easier. I will try that instead.

This is true however I have read it can cause other items to turn off as well. Here is a site with instruction on how to disable them... does not look hard.
malice ...i found this out because my auto headlights actually stopped working...i looked behind the headlight switch to see if anything was wrong...that wire i was talking about came undone where the factory had crimped it..its probably the same color and all on your car but you might want to get a wiring diagram just in case
I took out my headlight switch, and there were 2 fat red wires. I went ahead and did it Hawgs way. It way easier than I thought. I thought the whole dash had to be removed, but the light sensor is easy to get to from the radio hole.

I would have taken like 10 minutes, but the Jehovahs witnesses came into my garage and started preaching to me!! They wasted a half hour, so it actually took 40 minutes. Next time I will pull into the garage and close the door.
