I was thinking of getting the white gauges for my car and ive tried to get the gauges out but i cant even get that piece of plastic that goes around the gauges off cause the steering wheel is in the way and im not taking off the steering wheel is there anyway to do this
hmm. i drive a 93, and had no prblem getting mine out. i took off the radio panel, the under dash panel and the panel covering the guages. then it was just unbolting the assembly of the guages. and you also have to unbolt the HVAC controls and move them aside.
oh and to get the panel covering the guages off you have to take off the A pillar panel and pop the dash up enough to get a socket under the dash to remove two of three bolts. but dashes are easy to break.
The plastic bezel is a bit of a biatch to get off. Put your steerign wheel all the way down and pull the bezel off as it holds wiht just plastic pieces and it will come out then wiggle it around the wheel. Take off the box on the back of the turn signal switch if you have to . It just pops off. After you get the bezel out of the way you will see the entire cluster very well. Ther are 4 bolts holding the gague cluster in plaace. 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom, forgot what size bolt it is though. I wnat to say a 6mm. Take those out ad the cluster will just pull out as it just plugs into the dash. Then the clear plastic piece if I remember right just pops out of place using its tabs. Good luck with this procedure and be careful with the pieces.
i did take off the box around the turn signal and tilted the steering wheel all the way down i still couldnt get it out i didnt want to break it are the gauges hard to get out once i get it off
