  • Horse power ???

i know there is a lot of things to factor when talking bolt on hores power but if you have a 3.4 with all new internals made for a least 15psi of boost what would one think the average HP would be??? vs. that of a Lt1 done the same way???

big comparison there, that doesnt tell much but the obvious and really isnt a fair comparison.
what else are you comparing it to? finances vs hp % ?
i'd take the lt1 any day
what kinda "boost" we talking about?
2k2 camaro, K&N, SLP whisper lid, Konis, AEM, HP Tuners, Angel eyes/Halos, CF SS ram air hood, 4.10s, Zexel Torsen, UMI SFCs, CrossFire, BFGs, Gatorback, Catco, Flows, and TLC! DONT feed the Trolls!

whoa whoa whoa, comparing apples to oranges here. first off the LT1 would be a TT aplication, I am assuming you are talking Turbo.

        15 psi on a 3.4 with full internals......~400 hp
        15 psi on a LT1 with full internals......~750+hp

pretty much guesses, but probably pretty accurate.

The 3.4 turbo kit would have to be personally fab'd up or bought used. There isnt currently anyone producing a kit for the 3.4, parts and tuning is also greatly limited. I dont want to talk you out of it, actually there is a guy on here who has a VERY nice 3.4 turbo set up.

y would it matter what a lt1 would make for power? the v8 is always gonna have more power....

alright, this thread is worthless it seems.

Of course an lt1 built for boost is gonna dominate the 3.4l built for boost.

Locking this because there is no need for this to go on further
