Sounds like bad valve tap or lifters to me.

                sounds like valve tap.

unless you mean that whirrring noise too. (though i suppose thats just your accessories.)

someone on another forum told me this to fix my valve tap

This is a general guidline for GM pushrod engines. Open the hood and lay out some heavy paper or something around one side of the engine. Remove the valve cover and find the size of the nut on the rocker arm. Start the engine and use a ratchet and socket to loosen one rocker nut very slowly until you hear the tappet clatter. Tighten the nut just until the tappet shuts up, then tighten the nut and additional 1/4 turn.

Do this for every rocker stud nut, repeat for other side.
                havent gotten to it yet.

sounds like a really loud lifter... i've never heard valve tap but that could be it too. i dont think a spun bearing would sound like that at all.

i hope it's just a lifter...i'm ordering the parts sometime this week...and hopefully fixing it next weekend

anybody want to confirm this being the problem? lol

basically i'm just wanting more opinions

Hu? What? What year is your car? I didn't think you could do that with a hydraulic lifter.
