One day I noticed my A/C was only blowing hot air, so I checked the refigerant pressure and it check out O.K. Then I noticed my compressor wasn't kicking in. After toying with it for a while I noticed the pigtail (Wire connector that plugs into the compressor) that plugs into the compressor looked to have been replaced at one point. It was sautered together and had electrical tape over the wires. After moving it around a little bit I noticed if I nudged the pigtail itself that the compressor would immediately kick in. This did not happened when I moved just the wires around. So to temporarily fix the problem I tied a piece of wire around the pigtail so that it would pull up on the pigtail and keep it in a position so that the connection would turn the compressor on when I turn the A/C on. Today I noticed the compressor stopped kicking in again. So I messed with the pigtail again and this time I had no results. Refrigerant pressure is still good. So I decided to check the fuses and relays. All the ones on the side of my dash check out O.K. and so did the ones I under the driver side of the engine bay. After using a test light on the pigtail connector itself with the engine running. I found that even with the switch on there is no power going through the pigtail connector. The engine was too hot and there was not enough room for me to check the wires going to the connector. I am assuming the pigtail has somehow gone bad, but before I replace it I just want to make sure their are no other fuses or electrical connections for me to check. Let me know if you can think of any.
