  • Part number wanted for window guide roller

    Hi,

I am looking for the GM part number for the small plastic roller assembly that presses the door glass against the outside weather strip, its about 1" long. and bolts to the top of the door under the trim panel and towards the rear of the door.

I live outside the continental US so can't just pop into the local GM dealer. I will have to order from the States and want to make sure I get right part.

    98 Firebird

    Thanks Vic

I don't know what part you're referring to. There isn't any roller that bolts to the frame on the top of the door.

You may be describing the metal piece that has a felt-tip on it. It has two bolts holding it inplace and guides the window as it moves up-n-down. There are (2) two of them per window.
GM Part # 10257988 ~same part numbers for both guides, both sides.

If that isn't it, take a pic and send it to me. I can look it up on my Parts Manual.

      Thanks again Hockeyman,

Took the panel off and checked for myself and exactly as described, just the felt pad.

~If you already have the metal piece and you just need the felt padded part~:
Before you go and buy one from a dealer, buy a piece of heavy duty velcro from Lowes or Home Depot. Use the soft piece (of course) and adhere it to the metal tab. I did this and it worked great! The industrial velcro held up longer than the factory felts. I replaced all four felts, and haven't had any problems.
