  • VERY MAD! I need help, coolant leaking!!

I just put in a new belt tensioner. All good to go. I connect both heater hoses to it, put water in the radiator, once it starts to get filled water comes out of BOTH hoses, not the actual hose but that stupid connector thing??

    What can i do, ANYONE??

Size motor? Year? Pics? If its a 3.4, are you talking about the quick disconnect fitting in the front of the intake?

      wow my bad,

      97 Firebird 3.8 112K

I am talking about the heater hoses that come through the firewall from the heater core, right to the belt tensioner.

Do you have both of locked on tight? Try taking them off and putting them back on, maybe something did not grap right.

I also had this problem. I had accidently lost an o-ring/gasket that is right at the end of one of the hoses. Fortunatley the o ring was laying on my driveway.

check the old part, maybe o rings are left inside it.

If im right they should be on the end of the hose. Just flip them up and take a look. They could have fell off if the hoses blew off.

Not sure if your on a time constraint or not but I replaced this hose assembly and ordered from gmpartsdirect about 2 years ago and I think it was under a 100 bucks.
