after watching a commercial for peak antifreeze with the beautiful danica patrick i started thinking can we put any coolant we want in our 3.8s or did i hear right that only dexcool is allowed (its says so right on the old airlid )

I've flushed and filled with dexcrap twice a few years ago, following strict instructions by using distilled water...and still got brown muck buildup in the rad.

Went to green and had absolutely zero problems ever since.

ha my radiator looks like a mudslide went through it. someone b4 me had the red stuff, mixed in some stop leak and finished it off with a little of the green stuff. ive went through four thermostats and a water pump this year. when i take it to the shop, im going to swap out radiators and flush the system real good.

I actually used a 2 gallons of carb cleaner instead of water to flush my system. It was the only thing strong enough to clean the mud and **** out. Then flush really good with water, replace radiator and tstat, refill with green.

no problems with dexcool and some hose water??? Granted my motor has a spun bearing the temperature was always about 1/8 below half snow or shine. No problems. Choose a coolant 50/50 it and call it good.
