So Here is the problem. The fog lamps are shorting out the electrical system on my car. What can cause this, any known issues? I checked all the wiring i know off and did not find any loose connections.

I don't have a clue what happened to your car, but there are two fuse panels under the hood on the Driver's side. I haven't took the time to look for what those fuses control, it's midnight here. If I get a chance to look tomorrow, I'll tell ya, otherwise, you can check it out yourself. Either way, you shouldn't be popping fuses like that. Maybe a ground wire out of place somewhere.

i agree with that idea. it definately is shorting out somewhere. I can only follow to wire as far as the plastic cover goes on it though. it it exposed somewhere else? would it be okay just to take the wires out of that plastic hose?

If anyone was following my story here I thought you may want to know what caused all this. If you check the wiring diagram there is a block of stuff that goes into your transmition, my short is there - i was able to locate this. But I do not know the exact component so it will end up costing a few hundred at the pontiac dealer. Oh well. At least the troubles are over.
