I have a 94 camaro 3.4 droptop. My current mods are a drop in k & n, catback and 180 thermo. My question is what should i go for next?

gears, aluminum driveshaft, CAI are all good choices. I suggest you search here in the gen tech section though for others that have asked the same thing as you already and see those responses. A lot of good info from searching.

I did for 3,000 miles, and yes I noticed and considerable diff in throttle resp.

im selling it cause now the car will be turbo'd and i no longer have a need for it.

Are they hard to hook up? Do you know of any writeups for the 3.4. Also what does the Dis 4 actually do. I know its for ignition but how does it work.

I voted for K&N and SLP only because I say double check your codes. I just did and realized I have the 3.42's and limited slip already. But yeah if your 100% on your rear go for that. Can I revote?

Sure. Do you have a 94 3.4. I was going off the modifications encyclopedia about the gears. I know i dont have limited slip b/c i do 1 wheel peels. About the gears. will i see a diffrece going to 3.42s or can i go for 3.73s. Do they remain drivable and can i swap to 3.73 w/o changing anything else?

Hell if I know I just found out I have 3.42's so I couldn't tell ya. I figured I would go to 3.42's from 3.2X or something. I'm sure somebody that wasn't as fortunate as me can let you know.

your coils should have the same style setup? I think? there is no writeup for the 3.4

The FIRST mod to any 3.4 should be a CIA/FIPK. Great gains for little cost. Period.

Imo...



-Buy a used CAI, if not build one, its just a freaking tube with a filter on the end.
-consider a ls1 driveshaft
-DO NOT pay $529 for a gear swap, if you are going to 3.42s, buy a used z28 rear, for a "MAX" of $400, they are usually in the $200 range, sometimes as low as $100. If you do this get one with brakes, and you can covert to 4 wheel disc brakes, and LSD. And get 3.42s if you want.
-IF the stock ignition is working I wouldn't see why you need to upgrade it you don't have any major mods


Then maybe consider nitrous, or go with suspension.


If you do gearswap, speedo will be off which isn't a problem if you have a 5-speed but if you have an auto it can screw up your shift points.
